What is included in engine build?

We include consultation, parts selection discussions, and sourcing of premium components, as well as full precision machining, including block decking, cylinder boring, cylinder honing, complete cylinder head maching and head porting, crankshaft grinding, and complete engine balancing. Assembly follows blueprint‑accurate standards and we offer dyno validation and final tuning on select combinations. This turnkey package ensures reliability, performance, and plug-and-play installation optimized for your specific requirements, delivering exceptional results.

Build times vary based on complexity, parts availability, and testing requirements. Standard small‑block builds typically require four to six weeks from initial consultation. More elaborate custom projects involving prototyping or specialized fabrication can extend to eight or twelve weeks. We provide regular timeline updates and transparent progress reports, ensuring you remain fully informed until final delivery.

Absolutely. At HMT Performance, choose materials, tolerances, and performance targets for every component. Whether specifying forged pistons, high‑strength aluminum or billet connecting rods, billet crankshafts, or custom cam profiles, our engineering experience is shared with you to finalize specifications. Each component undergoes inspection, ensuring your build meets requirements.
